Open Source

Open Measures is an open source platform. That means that pieces of our platform will always be free and available for public use. Core to our mission is preserving the availability of our tooling to as many researchers as possible.

    Analysis Tools

    Timeline

Track the frequency that a term is mentioned within a selected data source. Identify emerging trends and analyze point-in-time buildup of chatter.

    Search

View content containing a configured search term. Flip between different sources on the same search term to gauge the discourse around a topic across the fringe internet.

    Activity

Create a visualization to understand which users are frequently using a unique term. Unlock a powerful method to identify key individuals that are trying to influence discourse or incite others to act.

    Link Counter

Generate a graph that counts links in content containing a chosen term or set of keywords. Contextualize the spread of information about a theme via URLs shared.

    Open Source API

Open Measures has a public, free, and open-source API that allows researchers to work with the data programmatically, regardless of budget.

We value accessibility and intentionally offer free access in order to help researchers push back against online and offline harm. Though rate limited, the open-source API is a powerful tool to identify trending topics and malicious users. Read further for a note on our rate limits.

    Open source API rate limitations:

    • Access to data beginning at least 6 months in the past.
    • 39 requests per day.

    Pro & Enterprise Solutions

Open Measures offers a lot for free. That said, many researchers will come to require real-time data access, a higher volume of requests, or additional purpose-built dashboards. We have a wide range of feature sets and capabilities to meet these needs.
